Welcome to the August 2009 edition of the Bestprac e-news - it has been a very busy month for the Bestprac network. We all been busily finalising the new website and pulling together the Australian Pastoral Property Innovation Manual ready for publishing and preparing for the Innovation Forum (24 August at Dubbo). A lot of work has gone into these items/events and they are looking fantastic. I will provide you with more details about the new website and Australian Pastoral Property Innovation Manual in a moment; first let’s look at what’s in this edition:

The Australian Pastoral Property Innovation Manual project is nearing completion. Thanks again to all contributors; this really has been a fantastic effort by everyone involved. We have over 100 innovations profiled in the manual from across Australia and are currently getting them finalised and it will be ready for publishing very soon. The first “sneak peak” of the manual will be provided at the Forum in Dubbo. At this event, order forms will be available.
As we have hinted, the Innovation Forum is planned for Monday 24 August at Dubbo, NSW. All Bestprac members and associates are welcome to attend this event. More details of this Forum are provided below. Please register early for this event to avoid disappointment.
The Bestprac Website (www.bestprac.info) has been developed and is now “live” for all to view and utilise. To ensure you continue receiving this e-newsletter and can access the member’s area of the website, please SignUp and register.

Hot news that has just come in today - Bestprac is a national finalist for the Australian Rural and Outback Awards in two categories; Business, Training and Employment and Agricultural and Rural Development awards. Results will be announced in mid September.
