eNews - July 2009
Welcome
Welcome to the July edition of the Bestprac e-newsletter. In this edition we hear from four of our Bestprac groups and members:
- Chelsea Muster provides a report on the SA Innovation Road Trip,
- The Morrison family from Carnarvon WA reports on their aquaculture innovation,
- Trudie Atkinson provides a report on the NSW Group Road Trip over to South Australia and
- Susan Carn continues to update us on her weather watching.
These are all great articles, highlighting the innovative practices of Bestprac members across the country. It is innovations like the Morrison’s that are currently being compiled into the Australian Pastoral Property Innovation Manual. This project has been running since January and we are beginning to see the manual come together. We already have over 50 innovations documented. Thanks to all contributors to this manual.
Coming events:
SA Innovation Road Trip
- Wednesday 19, Thursday 20 and Friday 21 August
National Innovation Forum
- Monday 24 August 2009
Flyers for each of these events are attached, we hope you can participate
Rural Directions Pty Ltd is currently coordinating a mid term evaluation of the Bestprac program, including the Innovation Manual Project. This evaluation will be undertaken during July. We have contracted Roberts Evaluation Pty Ltd to undertake this review. You may receive a call from Stuart Raetz or Kate Roberts in the coming weeks; as they are selecting a sample of participants to interview. We hope that you can provide them with a few minutes of your time to ensure we gain an insight into the value and benefits of the Bestprac program from a national level. Thank you.
We hope you enjoy this edition of the Bestprac e-newsletter. Your feedback or suggestions are welcomed anytime.
