Welcome
Welcome to the October edition of the Bestprac e-newsletter. The main focus over the last month has been preparing the Australian Pastoral Property Innovation Manual for print. We ended up with an impressive 120 innovations in the manual.
The Australian Pastoral Property Innovation Manual has been produced by the Bestprac network and other contributing producers, with funding provided by the Australian Government’s ‘Caring for Our Country’ program.
The manual profiles innovations that are being implemented across the pastoral and low rainfall zones of Qld, NSW, SA and WA. There is a broad range of innovations included in the manual covering business management and administration, business diversification, people, production, the environment and infrastructure and equipment.
The innovations have demonstrated business growth, increased productivity, increased efficiency, improved standards of safety, enhanced quality and/or better environmental outcomes. As producers have become involved with innovation gathering they have discovered that many of the practices, systems and operations they adopt and use everyday are considered very innovative.
The Manual can now be ordered on the Bestprac website.
What about an Australian Pastoral Property Innovation Manual as a Christmas present for that hard to buy for pastoralist? The manual is available for $55 (inc GST and postage), that is equivalent to less than 50 cents per innovation, what an inexpensive way to improve your business.
