Innovation Corner - getting around a wet paddock

Posted by Bestprac on Mar 07 2010

Stuart Mitchell, PAP Chairperson, submitted another innovation this month - for those of you with wet paddocks!

Thought this little trick might be useful given the amount of wet country that's about in some places at the moment.

Motorbike InnovationIt's an idea stolen from some farmers who use chain to stop mud building up on implement tyres.

A piece of chain secured tightly around the tyre on a motorbike with a D shackle protrudes just enough to knock the grass and mud out that builds up in the swingarm and can stop the tyre rotating altogether. In really bad (or good !!) conditions I have run two chains on a tyre.

Do you have an innovation to share; we'd love to see them Submit Innovation Now
